Physical causality

Morton argues (54) that an examination of "physical causality" reveals something "profound and weird"--namely, that "everything has agency, everything is 'alive,' possibly 'conscious'; or that consciousness is just another mode of access among equal others"

this is "repressed Paleolithic thought"; "outside of Western philosophical space but somewhat contained in religion, 'spirituality'"
