Moholy-Nagy's "theater of totality"

Laszlo Moholy-Nagy proposed a "theater of totality" in 1924

Robert B. Riley notes that this "has inspired generations of artists and has become a particularly significant touchstone in experiments with projected light. He introduced the notion of 'direct light effects' in luminous projections and explored the perceptual complexities of light projections that defined space, form, and motion" (23)
