Robertson advocates a model of power that is an "improvised co-embodiment"
 
"In this sense, ecology rather than economics might provide the circulatory model as long as one consideres ecology in terms of complex processes of disequilibrium and emergence instead of a harmonized closure" (shades of Timothy Morton's "bad" holism here, I think)
