DOGE and mass deportation

Slobodian / Taronoff: "DOGE's most consequential act of data integration was designed to counteract the (imagined) incursion of 'imported' migrants by accelerating mass deportations. By March 2025, Musk's opertives had begun building what Wired called a 'master database' to track immigrants--knitting together records across the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), IRS, Social Security Administration (SSA), and voting rolls. It dovetailed with Palantir's $30 million 'ImmigrationOS' contract with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which promised 'near real-time visibility' on non-citizens."
