Against cultivating values

Delany 115: "In order to get the benefits values are assumed to give, what we must do is cultivate not values, either as ends or beginnings, but rather cultivate the ability to think through situations in their complexity, deciding who will suffer and who will benefit, and what are the optimum intervention points that will effect the changes we want, after giving careful thought as to why we want them."
